With our new name, of course, we needed a new logo and what could be better than hiring our amazing members for the design. Said and done, we formed a competition where the winner was rewarded with SEK 5,000.
The logo competition exceeded expectations and we received over 30 entries. After an internal vote, we nominated Alice Smygegård's proposed winner. The simplicity and timeless design appealed to us and fit perfectly into our new design language.
This is what Alice herself says about how she thought when she designed the logo:
– Tanken bakom den nya loggan var väldigt simple. Baserat på kårens namn ville jag få med Smålands landskapsblomma Linnéan som jag försökte efterlikna på ett enkelt och stilrent sätt. Efter lite olika varianter kom det slutgiltiga resultatet till.
After Alice was named the winner, we also asked her to make a graphic element that we could use in a similar way to the old speech bubble. This was also done with in an exceptional way!
